I think this one should be called"Free audio book of every other month"! It doesn't appear to as consistent as the regular kind of digital books of Faithlife offer free every month.

Agree Paul the offer is not consistent and there is not even a link to the page on the site.

Thanks for pointing this out to us, Disciple II.
It's interesting that in some cases FL produces the audiobook without the corresponding ebook text being available in Logos. We're supposed to just listen to the audiobook without access to the text of the book.

I understand that it is frustrating. Two things to consider:
- The licensing agreements for audiobooks, FLEB titles, and Logos editions are all unique.
- FL desires some titles to be Logos editions, which are more difficult to secure licenses for. I have been told by FL employees that if they know they want a title as a Logos edition and have some hope that it might happen, in some circumstances they hold out on offering the title. That is in the best interest of the company.
For what its worth, I love Logos and desire to have as many of my digital text resources in this format. I do not see any compelling reason to have the audiobooks in my Logos library. I do not use "read aloud," but I could see where that would be an advantage to many readers. However, these audiobooks are not "read aloud" enabled, and I have no reason to suspect that they ever will be (but you never know).
I love to read, but my current circumstances have me in my car for several hours each day. I "read" about 100 audiobooks each year. I use a plethora of services, starting with the free ones from my library. After that, I use primarily use audible and scribd, but have used several others as well. The audio players for the two I named are much superior to what FL offers. For me to be persuaded to utilize FL more for audiobooks, the player and the acquisition of titles would need much improvement.

Thanks, JT.
A cursory comparison shows that the "audiobooks" offered by Logos seem to be the exact same corresponding "audiobook" offered by the publisher, by Amazon/Audible, usually read by the author it seems.

They are the same files, just packaged in a way that the FL can 'present' the audio to users within their applications.
Like J.T. I use audible a lot for audiobooks. When I am not working from home, I am using public transport to travel to work, or when I am out on my daily walk I will listen to an audiobook or podcast. I respect JT's position and agree audible is a better app for audiobooks, but I do also use Logos app on IOS for audiobooks as well. For me if the Logos price is cheaper than what I can get on audible and it's something I particularly want then I will pick it up in Logos but secondary to any texts I might want to purchase. So, if I have to reduce the size of my shopping cart the audibooks are one of the first I look at removing. I'm not worried about having the audio sync with the text and so have not expectation of that from Logos audiobooks so I don't see that as a negative. Ideally, I'd like it all in one application and so that is part of the appeal of Audiobooks in Logos, I can tag the audio books as to when I read them along with whatever else i want to tag them with. Two many applications makes it harder to keep track of what you own.

The text of the Free audiobook being offered this month, "THE HEART OF CHRIST IN HEAVEN, TO SINNERS ON EARTH" is available in Volume 4 of the Works of Thomas Goodwin. The Works of Thomas Goodwin, vol. 4 | Logos Bible Software. You can also pick up this volume in The Works of Thomas Goodwin (12 vols.) | Logos Bible Software and a couple of reformed base packages on offer.

Thanks for the heads up. That title is also a "Faithlife Classic," so if someone has a Connect subscription, they can pick it up as one of their monthly freebies. Which I did. Thanks again! [:)]
