I have asked before, Sad this is my last appeal otherwise I shall Zip it! and Crying ...

With notes growing in size, scrolling to find your notes can be a pain...

My Thoughts... if I was able to assign Linkset A to a notefile, it would fix my frustration, as wherever I went in the bible (if also Linkset A) it would automatically scroll and display the notes for the/that current verse (if any exist)

maybe I alone see the benefit... I know I can run a PG, but it seems like overkill.. there must be a better way to do it...

I still use L3 for all my note input. Until recently I was putting all of my notes in one file: General Notes. Eventually I realized that this was causing both my note retrieval and input to C.....R.....A.....W.....L....especially when some of my individual notes in the file were up to 20-40 pages long. So I made a few newer note files: TaNaKh (3 diff. files), Gospels, Apostles, Paul, plus a few others like Commentaries, etc.

Point being, if you create some different note files, it will help with both searching (your concern) and also alleviate potential speed issues.

I believe this has been suggested in the past and it has merit. I have only a few note files in which this would be helpful - I personally would like to see the ability to attach a note to multiple references first ... but I'm willing to [Y] your idea.

I am afraid you missed the point or I didn't communicate it well... its not the searching that bothers me or even the speed of input, I create in a new small note file, and then drag drop them into the main notes file, I dont notice any real slow down in inputting new notes.

The point is: it is all about function & usability: having the option for the note for active/current verse automatically displayed if they exist would not only be cool but seems to me to be something fundamental in a Bible Study Software Package.., and am surprised that this feature is still missing.

It's a good idea and should be kept in the queue at (what I would call) medium priority ... sometime next year Logos should be getting to these.
