Ability to control sermon slides while presenting sermon without Faithlife Proclaim?

While in preaching mode is there any way to control sermon slides that are visible on screen to an audience without using Faithlife Proclaim? I originally exported my presentation to PowerPoint thinking the notes would show up there (which would make presenting pretty straightforward) but they didn't. Having to control the PowerPoint while navigating my notes in preaching mode is cumbersome so it would be great to know what other possibilities exist to be able to make presenting slides while teaching easier.

    Greetings Armand

If you really want to continue with Powerpoint then the only way would be to use either a remote controller or a clicker.

Have you tried Proclaim? They have a free trial policy. I would never go back to Powerpoint - it just isn't built for the job.

    Hi Mike,

Thank's for your response. I haven't tried out Proclaim personally, but I do understand that it has this feature. My issue with purchasing the software is that I'm primarily putting together teachings to share with my family during our fellowship time, so even buying the cheapest Proclaim plan wouldn't make sense for me since I have no need for most of the other features it comes with. I actually recently posted this as a suggestion on the Faithlife Feedback site, since I do think it would be a beneficial feature for those who only teach smaller groups.

    Armand,

I'm sorry I'm just now seeing your post. I just finished creating a similar suggestion at FaithlifeFeedback.

Here's what I'm using now, if you're still looking for a way to do this -

I'm using an app called "Bluetooth Presenter Pro" to do this. It's the only free "clicker" I am able find that both uses Bluetooth and is able to run in the background - it allows me to use my phone's volume buttons to advance/backup, while simultaneously using my phone's Preaching Mode to present.

I suppose that our suggestions on Feedbear ought to be linked, but I think only Faithlife can do that.

Here's the link to my suggestion, in case someone from Faithlife sees this and agrees they ought to be linked...

    Best wishes to you Armand,
