Resource on the Law of Moses

Is there a resource that covers the Law of Moses from the perspective that it is no longer applicable to Christians. Something along the lines: 1. What is the Law of Moses? 2. The many commandments (613) besides the Decalogue. 3. To whom it applied and why it doesn't apply to Christians, but 4. things Christians can learn from it, even if it has been nailed to the cross/fulfilled by/in Christ.

Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated!

That's an interesting series of words. I think probably around 30 ad, Christians could forgo the Law. But before that, Christians had to follow it. They were then righteous, and Jesus didn't come to save them.

How about Martin Luther's How Christians Should Regard Moses, A.D. 1525?

It's on the Annotated Luther, Vol. 2, Word and Faith. It's also in Luther's Works, as I hyperlinked. It's also on Martin Luther's Basic Theological Writings, 3rd edition, part 2: Luther on Scripture. So, at least 3 places to look for in the Logos Store, if you're interested.

My quick estimate as to why you should be interested: First of all, well, it's the guy who started the Reformation, after all. Second, he shows why not only some minor commandments in the Torah are not applicable to Christians, but indeed some parts and even commandments of the Decalogue itself. Historical background: there were some "hyper-spiritualists" back in his day after the Peasant Revolution, who tried to force the Mosaic Legislation even in civil affairs. This he started to resist. :-) Some say the law ran all the way to 70 AD -- "Realized eschatology" I think it's called. Interesting movement led by Max King and promoted in his book "The Spirit of Prophecy."

It will be an interesting study for sure and in Spanish...hehe...while I do have a large Spanish library, most of the good stuff is found in my English library. A little bit of translating won't hurt.
