Greetings to all who keep this community intact and productive. I am continually blessed by your presence and wisdom.

Q. When I read biblical books, I like to remove all highlights from time to time for a fresh look. However, when I select a whole book and hit the remove icon, whoooosh goes all of my NOTE ICONS. I love to re-highlight, using new schemes, but to restore note icons to each verse prevents me form doing this.

So is there anyway to keep note icons in place while I remove highlights from a whole book at once?

Once again, I appreciate this community- I kinda know you all after these many years of following the forum.

If you are diligent about how you organize notes, this should not be too difficult. Make sure the highlights go into the note document you want. You can then either:

Delete all the highlight notes <OR>
Create a new note document and direct the highlights there.

If you do #2, you will simply turn OFF the highlights you originally created in the visual filter menu. They will still be there, you just won't see them (unless you choose to do so).

If I understand you correctly, you should be able to do this from within the Notes Tool.

Use the faceted browser on the left of the Tool, to select:

Type: Highlights
Bible Book: book you are focusing on
Resource: Bible from which you want to remove the highlights

Then, in the Notes Tool select all of the identified notes (you can do this by clicking one of them and then clicking Ctrl/Cmd-A

Then, in the pane on the right, click the Delete selected notes button

I think that gives you whave you are looking for but I recommend testing on a small set of highlights first!

JT and Graham, thank you for giving me direction on this matter. I will dig into both approaches tomorrow and see if I can make Logos perform as I wish. I will post again to let everyone know how things worked out.
