Default slide style for sermon

I have a slide template (in PNG format) that was uploaded to my Media (i.e. now in my user media in Logos 9). I would like to use that for all of my slides. I select it in the media tool and say to "update sermon". It looks like it does so. Now, if I have multiple slides in my sermon, I try to apply that style to all slides. For some reason, it does not do that at all. In fact, it actually switches all the slides back to some "palm trees" slide. I have no idea why it decided to use these palm trees as the style. I never selected them in the first place. They are a Logos supplied template (I did not create it). Is there some default slide style that is set in a sermon that would be forcing these palm trees? Why can I not use my template slide as the style for all slides? This is really kind of frustrating that Logos switches all of my slides and is not able to use the one I select.

I noticed this same type of question was posed in another thread (https://community.logos.com/forums/p/202596/1178024.aspx#1178024). However, it doesn't look like anyone answered it. I would greatly appreciate an answer to this, since it seems like the software should permit what I am asking it to do.

I don't use Sermon Editor but you might find some ideas in this thread:

It looks like what you want to do is something that can be done but might be less than intuitive to do and may even be buggy.

    Hope this helps!
