What are your favorite top 5 Biblical Greek dictionaries, other than NIDNTTE? Why?
Good question.... I'll be stalking this thread to see what others use....
Dictionaries.... I use Smith's and Vines and Strongs.
I use several lexicons.... one that I find I rely on the most is Thayer's Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament. One other I goto is Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew-English Lexicon of the Old Testament (they have a New Testament also which I use)...
I also use Lainges (a commentary with Hebrew - Greek - English in it) but it is shelf book, not in Logos. I have others that I also use... but these are my goto ones...
Bump for attention 2
I suspect that such an question is unlikely to get a slew of answers.
I neither has to do with how logos works nor how best to use it.
If you want an answer of two sticking it into Google might be more productive.
I "hate" Strong's because it is unnecessary in a computerized context and it tied to a specific manuscript. I use Beekes, Robert. Etymological Dictionary of Greek, edited by Alexander Lubotsky. Vol. 1 & 2. Leiden Indo-European Etymological Dictionary Series. Leiden; Boston: Brill, 2010.the most because it has the data most meaningful to me. I've also started to turn to Factbook more frequently simply because it is so accessible.
