Hey Friends.

Would love some feedback on whether this is possible within Logos.

Lets say I highlight a passage from a book, it then goes to my notes sections. I then tag that section in notes as "prayer". Is there a way of searching all of my highlights that have been tagged as "prayer" in the notes section. For example, under the prayer tags, I'm looking to see if any tags deal with the concept of "contemplative" prayer. I essentially want to search for that word under the prayer tag.

Appreciate everyone in these forums.

    You can search 'My Documents' for 'mytag:prayer' and get everything tagged with prayer.

    You can also search 'mytag:prayer AND contemplative' which brings back notes tagged with prayer and contain contemplative, but only if your search term is in the note itself, not the anchor.

    You might want to try playing around with Labels (wiki article on Highlighting and support page on Labeling). You can have one attribute Topic and another attribute as Subtopic and differentiate the type of prayers that way. Then you can run a basic search

    {Label Subject WHERE Topic ~ "Prayer" AND Subtopic ~ "Contemplative"}

    I am not a great user of notes so only have three tags. I can get to the notes tagged by clicking in the area enclosed in red.

    Please post a screenshot if this is not working for you.

    Maybe a bit of reorganization? If I had a lot of notes about prayer..... I would build a new Notebook called "Prayer" and put my notes in there. That may narrow your search down a bit. .... just thinking out loud.  [8-|]
