If I want information about a bible verse only such as John 3:16, how do I do the search so as not to get result such as John 3:1-18?

My knee jerk reaction would be to not use 'Search' but 'Passage Guide' or 'Exegetical Guide'

It might help if you told us what sort of information you wanted.

When I am studying a passage...  I have learned for myself anyway, to use 3 guides.  Cross Reference Guide, Exegetical Guide and Passage Guide. Then if the passage in question is about a person... then I might add Biblical Person Study.   All of which is found in the Guides folder.

It seems to me, that with these three (maybe 4) I can get a fuller picture of the passage.
