Search: Help me understand results

The search on the left searches just my journals for <Mark 15:37-38>. It gets me 134 results in 89 resources

The search on the right searches all resources using the label journal article and <Mark 15:37-38>. It gets me 39 results in 29 resources.

The search on the left not only gets more results, but also more and varied resources other than just journals even though I specified only type journal to search. (you can't see them because I scrolled down),

The one on the right, I suppose, searched only journals because of the journal label tag, But why fewer journals in the result than the one on the left?

Also why does it seem randomly to show cloud hits and sometimes not? notice the bottom of the panel on each side.

I'm still trying to understand how to search so please be patient and thank you for comments and advice.
