Why does the Close All command open the home page? (I don't ever want to see the home page; I'd rather have "close all" actually close ALL and give me a blank workspace like it used to.)
Ben:
You can blame that one on me. I had them change it because that is how it behaves in the Windows version. Parity with Windows is the goal. Sorry. If you would like it changed then email suggest@logos.com, post on the suggestions board, and post on Customer Feedback for Logos Bible Software.
Actually, if you have "show homepage at startup" turned off, then it's because of a bug that will be fixed shortly.
Hi
On Windows, the behaviour seems to vary depending on how the "Show home page at startup" customisation option is set.
If the option is ticked (selected) then the "close all" command results in the homepage being displayed. If it is not selected, then it just results in a totally blank screen.
(This is on 4.1 B3)
I don't know whether this is consistent on Mac.
Graham
Ah. Thanks to both of you. I do have it turned off at startup.
That's not how the Windows version behaves if you've got "Show home page at startup" turned off, which those of us who never want to see the home page unless we explicitly bring it up do. If you're going to party with Windows, you need to make it work exactly like the Windows version does (except with a Mac-like UI of course).

Rosie,
Agreed. This is how the Windows side operates.

Those of you who are just tuning in: please refer to my earlier post in which I indicate that the current behavior is a bug that will soon be fixed.
