Just today I received the great https://www.logos.com/product/212181/james-an-exegetical-guide-for-preaching-and-teaching - which is part of a new commentary series titled "The Big Greek Idea" which aims at working with the Greek text and the structure of the clauses and sentences (i.e. geared to something Logos users might be very interested in, and - so is my understanding - explaining things in the text that Logos possibly gives as datasets like propositional outlines, clausal outlines and various discourse features). This is the kind of commentary I like to have - possibly a bit like ZEC, maybe a notch deeper.
I think I stumbled over this PrePub just by accident - I like James Varner a lot and am glad to own the retracted EEC volume. However, I was astonished to find that this book is part of a series that already has three books published
- John's Letters (2018)
- Philippians (2019)
- Ephesians (2020)
Kregel is one of the fine academic publishers working with Logos, but I don't recall those ever offered. The series was mentioned once in passing in an unrelated thread, and there's a feedbear suggestion which as of this morning had exactly one vote - this is unacceptable. It's so tempting to get such books outside of Logos - but please, vote the suggestion so we may have them in Logos one day.
