Basic search

In a single resource, initiating a search in the "Search All Text" box, for a single word: I get, perhaps four results (number appears at far right). The first iteration is highlighted, but I CANNOT figure out how to jump to the subsequent iterations. Help, please!

Thanks for the reply, Mike! But I don't know how to do what you ask!

I thought my description was simple and clear - I am talking about an inline search in a single book (achieved my clicking on the "magnifying glass" symbol that appears to the immediate right of the page number indicator immediately under the title of the resource.)

Hope that is sufficient clarification

In your inline search, is it showing results by article, sentence, or paragraph? You may want to select sentence.

Are you also seeing the Locator Bar? If not, you can click the three vertical dots & select "Show Locator Bar". From this, you can select to view next search result.

I have the solution from "Paul". Simply select "Sentence" instead of "Article" in the oblong box immediately above the inline search line, and every iteration of the searched word appears in the sentence in which is occurs.

So simple! Couldn't find this solution in the Logos Help resource, but perhaps it is there.

\Unfortunately, you posted under general rather than the desktop, web, or mobile. Therefore, it was difficult to determine the correct answer. Without knowing which you are referring to I can't explain how to take a screen shot, only how to include it - the paper clip or the amber hexagon beside it are the means for uploading a screen shot. Note: sometimes we need to know the operating system or the browser to determine the answer.

MJ, On the desktop app in Windows, how do you take a screen shot when what you want to capture is part of a drop down menu? I've tried the Snipping Tool but the drop down goes away when I activate the Snipping Tool.

I think the current version of Snipping tool under Windows uses a timer approach, i.e. you instruct the tool to take the screenshot in 3 seconds, then open the dropdown. Cumbersome, but working.

Actually that's too much hassle for me. I use the free Techsmith Capture tool (since they took down its predecessor Jing) and this, as many other screenshot tools, is invoked by a hotkey like Ctrl-P and will capture what was visible on screen when I pressed the key, including drop downs and other screen content that vanishes when focusing the mouse elsewhere to bring up the screen shot tool.

For my Windows machine I use GreenShot ( https://getgreenshot.org ).

It also has an editor that will allow you to annotate the image. It uses hot keys to activate so you would dropo down the menu yo want in the pic, use the hot keys and grab your shot.
