Spiritual formation in practice

I am in a class that requires me to write a 30 page biblical and systematic theology of Spiritual Formation. This class traces out the biblical theme of spiritual formation in both Old and New Testaments. With this class, I have an appreciation for the consistent manner in which biblical writers explain the process of spiritual growth by an appeal to natural growth processes in creation. I have read multiple sources but need current research. My outline is below.
Introduction
Old Testament Theology
New Testament Theology
Pauline Theology of Spiritual Formation
Ecology of Spiritual Formation: Thinking Theologically
Ecology of Spiritual Formation: Thinking Biblically
Role of Worship and Preaching in Spiritual Formation
Systematic Theology in Spiritual formation
Conclusion

Christian:
trying to get some information about spiritual formation in the different categories made me tweak the search until found something good:
in the macro view I was able to get some real good stuff.
Basic search in resources with Old Testament, using the string "spiritual formation" really brought up good stuff.
Same with a search in resources with New Testament.
Now just keep in mind that I have a large library that allows to search in a wide variety of resources to get very varied points of view.
Depending on the size and leaning of yours you may get real good results, but maybe in a lesser amount.
I guess you could do a similar search within the other categories too.
Hope this helps.
