Hi there,

i often want to open a Bible Vers not in my preferred bible. Is there a quick and easy way to do this, for example in the picture below, when I click on the Vers it opens my preferred Bible but i want to read the Vers in the Bible that is left to it.

And is there an option to choose what translation it will open or is it always the preferred Bible?

Greetings from Austria,

Simon

There are a couple options that give you a little more flexibility.

    1. Hover your mouse over the BIble verse link and press the F7 key. This will display a popup comparing that verse in your top five prioritized Bibles. From there you can click the link to open the verse in one of the displayed Bibles.
    2. Right click on the verse link. On the left side of the menu that is displayed, select the row that shows the Bible verse. Then on the right side, find the section labeled "Look up". If there is a down arrow beside it, then click the arrow to open up a list of your top five Bibles. Clicking the desired Bible will open that Bible to the verse.

Both of these operations take advantage of your top 5 prioritized Bibles, so there may be value in using the Library panel to make sure you have specified your top Bibles in the desired order.

I just realised that this doesn't work in my "reading plan" Layout. The popup just disappears altogether. In the normal "passage study" layout everything works normally. Any idea why that is?🤔

A screenshot of your layout would be helpful. Where in the screenshot is your mouse when you hit F7?

Do you mean that the popup is displayed and then goes away? Or do you mean it never gets displayed at all?

It's difficult to know what is happening. Did you press the correct keyboard keys for a Mac, as I can't duplicate this on Windows. Did the same reference from ESV Study Bible work in the other layout?

Hi, yes i pressed the correct keyboard shortcut, because in the other layouts it works perfectly fine. It is not a matter of one reference that is not working. Every reference i tried is not working in my "Reading-Plan Layout". And really every reference. I tried different books and not a single reference that i tried worked. It always looks like in the video. The reference pops up but when i press F7 to see the other translations it just disappears.

I can only suggest that you recreate the layout from scratch.
