Christian Standard Commentary

I have had my eye on the Christian Standard Commentary set. The new Christian Standard Commentary (CSC) series to me seems to be a rework of the New American Commentary series. Is that true? What is good about this new set of commentaries?

There's a new Acts volume coming out (in pre-pub). The rest look like reworks of NAC volumes - no doubt with CSB text, minor revisions and updated bibliography. I've ordered the Acts volume, but not been persuaded to buy the others yet.

I'd be interested to hear from those who ordered whether there's much updating in the volumes that were previously published in the NAC series.

On another note, the OP must’ve finally started putting together all his papers with the information he got in the forums; hence, his absence from the forums for a whole month 😁

The first "non-revision" by the same author is due to be released next month. I haven't bought the revisions, as I tend to be disappointed by them in terms of value for money. But I look forward to this genuinely new volume.
