Are there resources that touch on "Dreams of Jesus" for the world, regions, individuals?

Hi Logosian power users:

Reading a book by Blake Healy (unfortunately not in Logos yet), he mentions that Jesus has dreams for places, people, etc.

The book also says that many times our dreams do not match what our part could be in Jesus dreams.

Curios I started to search in my Library, and got some good information, but not really seeing a book that concentrates on the possible dreams of Jesus.

I found some resources talking about God's interest in Global justice, others relating to the Kingdom where God is near and merciful to help us.

Other resources linked with God's desire to set the world right (to me implying no exploration, no injustice, a going back to the moral order of creation, etc).

Thinking about the different search hits, I could think of categories that may have different dreams:

service, humbleness, sharing, cooperation, solidarity, fairness, respect, non-violence, etc.

Another resource gave me the spin off idea that maybe God wants us to execute as children the promise of God's favor and maybe in the seven mountains of influence in culture.

I particularly thought of Jesus dreaming of coming to look for His spotless bride.

If any knows of resources that touch on this or that are about it, knows of articles, or has experience (sermon, conference, etc.), please share.

Peace and grace.

Some really interesting information is turning out of the basic search.

This topic should have more resources that deal more specifically with it.

A “dream” or “dreaming” might indicate/denote several things: mental images seen/experienced in physical sleep (the most obvious example, and for sure: Jesus did sleep, even on a boat on a stormy sea), wishes concerning the future (“I have a dream…”) or perhaps wishes concerning an alternative future scenario etc.

I remember some 19th Century exegetes speculating on whether Jesus’ temptations in the wilderness (Matthew 4) were in some sense “dreams” (since he could be at the pinnacle of the Temple at the same time). Not taking any stance on this, just recollecting vaguely what I read in some commentaries.

If by “dream” you refer to Jesus’ wishes concerning the future / alternative future scenarios, as it would seem, then a grammatical search where Jesus is the speaker and he uses the word “if” or “had” or “would”, would be something like this:

    words-of-christ:if

    words-of-christ:had

    words-of-christ:would

In essence: everything either in conditional, or optative (possibility of an event), and Jesus as the speaker.

Even Jesus’ commandments could be seen as his “dreams” concerning us. Then you would go to the imperatives of Jesus.

    See, what comes up.

This causes me to recall Mt 23.37 also repeated in Lk 13.34. Hamilton, maybe not what you seek, but clearly Christ desired that his people would receive the gift that is Messiah. More along the lines of "I have a Dream."

Meanwhile, Jesus kept on growing wiser and more mature, and in favor with God and his fellow man.

Interesting, since that wish did not materialize just then, maybe then an alternative future would be to try to do it with us gentiles, hopefully moving to jealousy the original intended elect group, that will eventually come in too.

    Thanks.
