footnote error

When I copy and paste text to a word doc there is an error observed. The footnote appears in my document but it's number is deleted. Any ideas.

First of all you may want to consider changing your user name to something other than your email so that spambots don't harvest it. Please read: Changing Forum Display Name

Now for your question....

What resource are you copying from? I am not having this problem in copying from resources into OpenOffice.

What is your setting on "Copy Footnotes" when you click on the tools menu and choose program settings.

Paul, I'm about 90% certain that there is a bug in 4.0d that messes with the correct copying of footnotes. I can't find the forum thread on it right now, but I believe it is fixed in the current beta. I don't have access right now to a non-beta install to check it out.

EDIT: Here's a report of it http://community.logos.com/forums/p/19212/151258.aspx and I've confirmed that I don't have problems with copying footnote numbers with my 4.1 install.
