BUG: No Lemma Selection

After yesterday's 9.13b2 update the word "draw" in John 6:34 no longer has a lemma to select in the right-click menu. The same word, in DBL:GREEK no longer opens TDNT when you click the TDNT listing, and the same word in the BIble Word Study no longer lists half of my lexicons.

I can't reproduce this using the same version of Logos and also on Windows 11

It looks as though you are missing the entire section that includes root, morph information, sense, etc.

Does this section appear for other words?

Yes, and what is interesting it appears for the same lemma in other passages such as John 12:32

I think I'd be tempted to Hide and Unhide that resource and see if that helps.

I actually tried that and also tried reindexing those sources. What I ended up doing ultimately was uninstall and reinstall Logos (It's going to be a long morning) and it is now showing up again.

I notice that your first screenshot (doesn't work) is in NASB95, Paragraph Version, while the second screenshot (does work) is in ESV. That makes it sound like you have some kind of problem with the reverse interlinear for NASB95PARA.

Please open the Information pane for NASB95PARA (from the panel menu). Scroll to the bottom, copy all of the text in the Support Info section, and paste it here.

The second screenshot is a different passage. This is broken in both the ESV and the NASB for John 6:44. It also does not work in the NKJV or the KJV.

It does work, however, in the LEB, the NIV, the NRSV, the CSB, the NLT.

Update, the problem seems to come and go at random and I am not sure of what the trigger is. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.

Have you verified that your disk/SSD storage has no problems ... it sounds a bit like a failing sector (in ancient tech language).

Yeah I did tech support for Apple for five years so that did cross my mind, but the disk check found no errors. I also checked for any registry errors and over all file errors and none were found.

I can recreate your problem in John 6:44 if I include the footnote marker as part of the selection. If I just right-click the word (which doesn't make the footnote part of the selection) or if I manually select just the word and not the footnote marker, then it works as expected.

The behavior you are seeing makes sense to me, since if you select multiple things, the context menu tends to prefer the first thing selected. You will see the same context menu if you right click on just the footnote marker.

I recommend limiting your selection to just the word you are interested in.

I confirm your finding. What is interesting though is I always just right click the word and in some Bibles it is indeed making the footnote part of the selection but this doesn't seem to be consistent. For example, when I was using the ESV when I first read your post, a right click on the word was working fine. However, now as I am finishing this post, it is selecting the footnote indicator as well.

In your Program Settings, is your Text Selection option set to "Smart"? I can recreate you behavior on "Smart" selection mode, but on "Word" it works as desired.

This feels like a bug to me. I'll write up a case.
