The Religion of the Apostles: Orthodox Christianity in the First Century | Logos Bible Software
Yes, I broke down and have this in the dead-tree version. I recommend it as a take on early Christianity with less Western bias than we often see.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I went ahead and got the Kindle. And I agree it belongs in Logos.
I don't know enough about Orthodox to say whether it's Orthodox, or the specific author (from a favorite town in Louisiana!). His lead-in is similar to Fredriksen as regards judaism and Paul. But when he started off on Paul as Jesus = YHWH and a perfectly comfortable jew, and then the Merkubah, my impression was he's on his own. As a minimum, you'd need to be already familiar with the Text and 2nd Temple.
I wonder where David Paul would end up, on this approach.

Agree. Been in since 11/25/21.
Meanwhile, Jesus kept on growing wiser and more mature, and in favor with God and his fellow man.

Antiochian is looser than Byzantine Orthodox which is why in the 70's and 80's whole congregations could become Antiochian Orthodox. But I saw nothing to make me question his Orthodoxy.
