You will notice that, like the first batch, the lectionaries included here are selected to raise particular issues in the implementation of lectionaries and to show the use of lectionaries in non-liturgical churches.

- Notes:
This provides an example of a lectionary designed for a theme and not
sponsored by a particular denomination.

“These readings were drafted by
the Anglican General Synod Liturgy Commission in 2006. They are freely
available for anyone to use.”
- Notes: These supplement the Season of
Creation lectionary in the first group sent
Lectionary: Missio Dei Breviary

- Notes:
This is a typical example of a 4 week schedule prayer book. Two or four
week schedules are very common in the lay tradition (as opposed to the
full year cycle of monastics).
Lectionary: Christian Methodist Episcopal Book of Ritual
- Source:
Book of Ritual (New and Revised)
Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME)
- Versification:
King James
- Sponsor:
Christian Methodist Episcopal Church
- Calendar:
These are all votive services.
- Copyright:
copyright date not given; published 1995
- Notes:
- This
is included as an example of votive services i.e. when an occasion arises
rather than a fixed date. Votive services are present in the Lutheran and
Catholic traditions although Logos has not included them in the current
base lectionaries.
- While
the majority of the texts are KJV, there are a few cases in which another
translation is specified. This is the characteristic for which I chose
this lectionary
- The Book of Ritual is inconsistent in
the naming of sections; this inconsistency is reflected in this table. In
addition, there are a number of Scriptures for which no citations are
given. Unless they are explicitly labeled “scripture” these have not be
included in the tables. Allowance for the easy update as I obtain more
information is desirable.
Lectionary: Christian Methodist Episcopal Responsive
Readings
- Source:
http://www.godonthe.net/responsive-readings/
- Versification:
King James
- Sponsor:
Christian Methodist Episcopal Church
- Calendar:
no assigned dates
- Copyright:
2000
- Notes:
- The
Hymnal of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church has the responsive
readings but not the citations. The citations come from the website.
- Generally,
responsive readings would not the considered a lectionary. However, in
the early Methodist tradition, responsive readings were used as a Lesson
and included in the lectionaries. You will see this in the Methodist
lectionaries which should be sent soon.
- The
two loosely related CME resources represent a single tradition much as
the set of 3 lectionaries did for the Moravians or the long list of lectionaries
for Lutherans or Anglicans.
Lectionary: Russian Orthodox Kellia

- 8
weeks for Acts and the Epistles
- 2
weeks for the optional book of Revelation
- Copyright:

- Notes:
- This
is a private lectionary in which the pieces may be concurrent or
sequential. The four common versions are presented here. Observe that the
Russian Orthodox Church refers to this as a lectionary.
- The
Epistles are read in the Slavonic Bible sequence

- Calendar:

- Copyright:

- Notes:
These are two lectionaries for non-Scriptural readings that link nicely to
Schaff’s Early Church Fathers. They are included to raise the issue of
Early Church Fathers as the appear in the Office of Readings (beside
Scriptural readings) or as John Climacus appears in the Orthodox monastic
tradition.
