J.C. Ryle prepub price gone down?

Dear Forum,

Can anyone explain if it is normal for prepub prices to go down. I ask as I pre-ordered J. C. Ryle on 07/02 (the day it was announced) for $199.95. It still shows this as my order price in my prepub listing in "My Account". However, I see that it is now listed on prepub for $189.95. Do I need to cancel and re-order at the new price or will receive it at the new price?

Hmm. Me too, that's odd. Have not seen that before. I too have ordered at $199 but the price is $189 now.

Hmm. I'd cancel and reorder just to be sure.

Weird: it still says 199.95 on the search results page when I search for "Ryle".

When I preorder it, it does say 189.95 on the preorders page: https://www.logos.com/products/prepub/preorders

You'll be getting an email about this soon with all the details. In the meantime, here's what happened:

After we posted the J. C. Ryle Collection, we ran into issues beyond our control with Thoughts for Young Men, and we had to remove it from the collection.

Because the collection now contains 18 volumes instead of 19 volumes, we decided to lower the price proportionately from $199.95 to $189.95. We are going back and automatically lowering the Pre-Pub price for everyone who has already pre-ordered, which means you'll see the lower price in your account very soon.

Hopes this helps explain things a little. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Similar issue I assume with two volumes dropped from the

Fortress Press Paul Collection (18 Vols.)

which was originally intended to be 20 volumes..... [:^)]
