A Strange Resource Request

Does anyone know of a resource preferably in Logos, but also acceptable is A company or even Kindle that supports the knowledge of Scripture ably refuting misrepresentations along the lines that Satan used to tempt Jesus in the wilderness? Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. I know it's a strange request, but I would be most appreciative of a lead on this one.

Are you referring to tempting vs testing? Something alongs the lines James spoke to. Or are you speaking to the 3 temptations as being universal to humans, or ....?

Denise, I like what you did with that outline. I haven't been clear. I'll try again. The subtlest way our faith will be tested and that we may yield to temptation is when that test comes in the form of Scripture or seems scriptural, or challenges who we are as believers. I'm looking for a resource that will help me win this battle, helping me rightly divide the Word of Truth. I hope I've been more clear this time. DAL, I didn't intend to construct a riddle, but maybe that is what resulted.

Did you really expect an answer when there are thousands of answers people are absolutely convinced are right? Only if you belong to one of the denominations that believe that the Apostolic interpretative tradition is normative, would one venture a tentative answer. Which is my way of saying, I'll not attempt an answer as I know our assumptions differ.

I just discovered the precious thread started by josiah grace a young convert. In it are found precious gems that go a long way to responding to my request. I picked up the Hammer of God by Bo Giertz and will read contemplatively. xnman gives sound advice and KS4J recommends a sound approach to Bible study.

We will never know all there is to know about God. I have been humbled by the thread. Thank you MJ; there may be thousands of denominations ,but the the Lord our God is one Lord.
