Is my index doing a rebuild or auto-"merge" when adding resources?

The last two times I've purchased resources (5 random books a week or so ago and Everyman's commentary yesterday), the resources have downloaded, I've restarted Logos, and it has run its standard indexing process. When it finished indexing, I didn't have a supplemental index. As far as I can tell, the new resources are included in my main index. Or has there been a change so that it no longer distinguishes between the two indexes in search results?

How do you know you don't have a supplemental index? Have you looked in your \LibraryIndex folder?

The Bible Index (in \BibleIndex) is always merged after indexing but I haven't seen that with the Library Index. The Indexer will build a supplemental and merge it when it is necessary; it is not rebuilt in 4.0d!

I didn't check my \LibraryIndex folder (though I just did now and sure enough there is no supplemental index)...I did a basic search for "the" and noted that there was "My Content" and "Library Results", but no "New Resources" section.

EDIT - and I didn't issue any manual indexing commands of any kind (merge index, rebuild index, etc).

Further, I should note that it did this on both of my computers. Both have a single, complete index...neither has a supplement.

The only way to know what is happening is have logging enabled and then look at the Indexer log (you can do this whilst indexing or upload to the forum to get an interpretation!).

Check your LibraryIndex folder, and the date of the files if ones with the word "Supplemental" exist. I check this folder all the time after resources are added, and for me it continues to build a Supplemental index when new resources are added. The nice thing, the Merge Index works well now, and it's pretty fast, and that combines the indexes (I am a Merge Index afflicted person, I love to have just one index!)

Yes, I just bought the NIDOTTE yesterday and it did a very fast indexing and I got a supplemental index. I am merging the index right now.

EDIT: It did the same on both, my Beta version (my main notebook) and also on a second computer I have a regular version 4.0d.

Thanks Dominick, but I did check the LibraryIndex folder and I only have the main index, there is no Supplemental index at all. It's not a problem of course, I just thought it was odd because I didn't think that's how it was supposed to work and it has now done it four times (twice on each of two computers) where it has seemingly "auto-merged" or rebuilt my main index during the automatic indexing of new resources without me telling it to.

Figures, I enabled logging and purchased a new resource and this time it behaved as expected [:P] LOL

This time I have a supplemental index.
