Running on Amazon Fire Tablet
How well is the app running these days on the Amazon Fire Tablet? I was thinking of getting one and wondered.

I just wonder if anyone has it running on any fire tablet regardless of size/generation. So I actually don't want to be specific for that purpose.
But it would be helpful if anyond is running it on a Fire tablet if they would say which model. Then I'd knoww which to get/avoide depending on people's experience.

Up until a month ago, I was running Logos on a HD 10 Plus. I neighbor needed the tablet more I needed it, so I let him have it. So I cannot give any updates for the past month.

I did not pay this much for mine! Not even close. Watch out for sales.

I use a Fire HD10 PLUS to run the mobile app. I have no problem with the mobile app; but it is the mobile app and does not have the flexibility and features of the desktop version.

I know that there are many fire fans around here
I use 2 Fires (personal) and 1 Ipad (church owned).
Fire HD 10 (7th Gen) cannot update to latest Fire OS (7.3.2.3) so limited Faithlife APPs accessibility. Use it primarily as a Facebook Device--Livestream our Services on Facebook Live.
Fire HD 10 (9th Gen) use it weekly without problems. Use it on Sundays to run Proclaim Remote from the pulpit.
IPad - used on Sundays to control our MEVO Camera which feeds NDI into our AV computer to use OBS to livestream to YouTube.
My conclusion is that Faithlife APPS are as good on (latest) Fire Tablet as any other Android Tablet. iOS does have some advantages for apps from other providers and overall user experience.

I have a Kindle Fire HD 6 inch that I have been using since Sept 2015. I use if for reading, highlighting and VERY limited note taking. Even when it was new it was not very useful to do much more than that.
I keep it because I love the small 6 inch size and any serious study would occur on my laptop.

I am decidedly not a fan of the Kindle Fire line, but I did pick two up for my boys to play games on during LONG car rides in 2015. They served their purpose, but along the way I decided to downcycle my iPads to them because they were much easier for me to maintain and regulate.
I was cleaning out a drawer and found one of the old devices. I charged it, turned it on, and NOTHING would work (i.e. I could not open the "settings app" without it crashing). After several restarts, I eventually was able to wipe the device clean. I downloaded an update and went from 5.3 to 5.6 back to 5.3(!) [and then about 5 more updates ended up on 5.7 (which I believe is the last update available for this device)].
The update process took more than 5 hours.
All of that aside, I downloaded the Logos app. I was told that it was updating the current version, which ended up not being true. However, I was fairly pleased with the performance in Logos. It was much snappier than I expected, especially when opening other apps on the device are quite slow.
I will note that I used a secondary account which has little to no notes and/or resources. I do have an NIV license on that account so downloaded it. If I needed a cheap device and could not afford an iPad, I'd consider getting another. But only the cheapest ones. The closer they get in price to the iPad, the less interested I'd be.
