Reference Markers in Anchor Text Importing into Sermon Builder
When I import a note into my sermon editor, the anchor text is dropped in (as it should) but the reference & footnote markers are coming with it.
How can I keep this from happening without just anchoring to references rather than specific text?
I've included and example of what I mean (highlighted in yellow).
I know I can delete them but...
- extra work.
- It changes the format of the quote
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I import a note into my sermon editor,
Can you post a screenshot of the note you are importing?
I'm struggling to understand exactly the steps you are taking
And, if you just want to include a Bible passage, do you know you can just enter the reference - 1 Tim 1:12-13 - and the sermon editor will give you the option of having it automatically filled in?

Graham, thanks for your willingness to help! Here is a screenshot.
Sermon editor on the left monitor with notebook pane open.
Specific note in question open on the left pane of right monitor.
I will write my notes on a specific text (not always cleanly divided by references as in this case where the note does not cover the whole of verse 13, but rather stops at the end of the sentence) then when I am ready to move on to the sermon, import those notes into sermon editor using the sermon notebook feature. In this case there will be four such notes that I will drop into the sermon then edit to the final draft of the sermon.
If the note contains an anchor text, rather than a reference, the footnote indicators come with it, even if they are turned off in visual filters.
Yes I know I can anchor to a reference, or simply drop in the reference, but, as in this case following the structure of the text does not always match verse divisions.
I apologize if I'm not using the correct terminology for all of the features I refer to here. I hope there is enough clarity so you can get an idea of what I am trying to accomplish.

Thanks Casey - the screenshot was very helpful.
I hadn't picked up that you were anchoring the note to a selection (although I should have done from your first screenshot - apologies)
I see exactly what you are describing and agree it is not ideal
I suggest creating a suggestion for this on the Faithlife feedback site at https://feedback.faithlife.com/search?term=sermon+builder
