Library Editing: Praise to FL for Fix

Used to be when renaming resources in the library that, when the retabulation process was completed, you would get kicked out of any editing you were in the process of completing. That appears to be resolved. Huge benefit, as it used to mean wasted minutes of work either from having to reinput data or just waiting for the process to finish. I'm still in a stage of psychological adjustment, trying to convince myself that, at least where this issue is concerned, I can relax and just work in peace.

Yes, Notes are still broken and the copying of data is still broken, meaning that since L9 came out my two primary workflows are still tragically ground to a halt, but one less worry is nice. Thanks

I guess?  I'm on Verbum 9.14 ... 'everything is as it was before the fathers'  (2nd Peter and scoffer-ish).

I can only edit one library resource text at a time, and then it unselects what I'm working on, losing it.  One tag at a time, else it interupts my next tag, creating a partial tag (and losing the selected resource).

Or maybe your issue was something else?  My Verbum says latest.

Just reporting my experience. On my old and slower laptop, if I was snappy with my edits, I could string along the recalculation process with each new edit input...but if I lagged, and the retabulation completed, then whatever edit I was working on would get scuttled, as you describe. On my new system, it only takes a few seconds for the "think" to take place, so before I can complete my next edit, the previous one has already processed and reordered itself alphabetically. Didn't notice any editing input hiccups when that happened. Maybe that fix hasn't been ported to Verbum?

It works the same in Logos and Verbum. The fix that you observe is your new computer. The problem persists on slower computers ... or if your first change involves many resources.

Yep ... Mac MPBs from this year are pretty slow going with Verbum. But (again) ... the design. Whatever happened to Bob's lovingly written book?

Ah, so you're saying that I was mistaken to attribute positive improvement in my Logos user experience to FL? Don't know whether to laugh or cry about that. [:S]
