I refer to this thread where I posted the OP from my tablet but had to move to my desktop to add the link to the word "here". I've noticed this problem in the past.

The forums are (very old) third-party software that we have no plans to improve.
The most likely change is that we would shift them to a better third-party provider that can offer a modern UI, mobile web support, better search, improved performance, etc. But that's not planned for this year.
Please please avoid anything like the Faithlife Groups interface where replies are hidden and conversations are quickly lost because threads are not moved up when replies are added.
Also please resist infantilising the interface with odd buttons. Replies, support and resistance should be more than a thumbs up.
By and large, the FL forum is the only online forum I frequent. That is partly because of my marriage to Logos, but also partly because the forum is one of the most user friendly I've ever encountered--not just in useability but also in presentation, i.e. use of screen real estate. Though perhaps old, it is a pretty well executed tool for what it does. When you update, I hope you don't try to reinvent the wheel too much. Something quite like this but with a few helpful tweaks would be good.
