Books i own that are not yet released

If you want to check to see if this is true for you, you can use this link:
These are the books I've bought and paid for, but still do not have. I can only assume that Logos considers this to be an acceptable business practice. I do not.

Owning books not yet released most often happens when they are included in base packages. Given the unplanned disruption of Covid 19, I wouldn't assume Faithlife considers it acceptable. The ones I am still awaiting, I suspect are issues of priority/working from home. Waiting more than a few months for them is frustrating, however.

John, I appreciate your effort to shine a light on this subject, but I don't think your link is accurate for the purpose you have stated. As far as when you can expect the release of these resources you may best be served by reading the replies to this post:John Kaess said:If you want to check to see if this is true for you, you can use this link:

Thanks, John, for the link. Didn't know I had a pre-pay out there.

I'd say it most often happens when you buy an ebook edition which is to be converted to a full Logos edition, which you'll get for free. Al least that's the case with about 90% of my own unreleased books.

You are probably right ... I likely buy fewer eBooks and I don't think of them as "not yet released" but rather as "not yet upgraded".

Not in my case. First, we have EEC, and I don't see any of those volumes on the link from above. Second, I had my sales rep process a couple resource bundles I wanted and I specifically state this is exactly like the EEC where I pay now and wait for the product to be released. The sales were so good I had to do it but knowing the issues with EEC and now LRC and there's another bundle I am not going to name same issue.

Yes, the LRC bundle/collection has this note:
* Your purchase includes this resource, which isn’t available yet. The resource will automatically download once it’s available.

Huh...I have a smattering in the que. This one seems like it will take awhile...
Fortunately, I didn't realize I even "owned" it and bought the pair used a year or two ago.

This won't be true for everyone... but it is true for me. The link provided was actually very cool to see. I have three pages of books in process.

Apparently I have six. I assume that they were parts of L9 tiers I bought to either expand my library in general or because I wanted a specific resource from the set. None of them were “urgent need” books (I hadn’t heard of any of them). So, I’m not personally inconvenienced. But it’s useful information.

I pay for mine with a default credit card, therefore it picks up all my prepubs and community bids as well as the LRC titles I bought because the deal was too good to refuse. This is why I characterized the link as inaccurate.

but: the link gives the wrong impression that you don't have access right now to things that are in PrePub (but you own already). This of course is true for base package content that hasn't been produced yet. But: For a large number of former Wordsearch resources this is even more untrue than for to-be-converted eBooks: I do have access to those in Logos and in Logos format, and other former owners do have likewise, only the "general public" needs to wait.
It would be nice to have a link that shows "owned Prepubs" that we have no access to.
Have joy in the Lord!

John: To follow up on some posts in this thread: Have you checked to verify that you actually don’t have access to these resources? Two of your links appear to be FLEB titles which you purchased as FLEB titles. If so, you are in the fortune category of having books converted to a better version for free.
The other three titles are books which may or may not have already been written. I note that the series has changed names. I think, however, that they likely have not been written or released yet. You probably acquired them in a bundle. It is common for publishers to have contracts with authors on commentaries which take years to write and publish. Your issue may be over that specific practice when FL bundles the resource which is not imminently about to be released. I would agree that FL should be more forthcoming about this practice. It is one thing to put resources in a bundle which still need to be converted; quite another to include them when they haven’t been written. I’m not opposed to the practice, but those terms should be clear at the time of purchase.

Speaking for an unrepresentative sample of one, getting me to actually read the terms is an issue.

That’s why it needs to be “clear.” An asterisk with fine print ain’t clear.

I have had time to look at my list and as I said, the books from EEC are not there. The LRC I ordered is just like the EEC and paid-up front and they are represented on the list. Also, every other book on my list not LRC are eBooks I own, and they are becoming Logos Reader Editions. I am grateful for that.

Thanks for the link, John.
Mine is showing 604 results! Can that be right?
It looks like many of them were titles from WordSearch...

I guess the question is how many WS titles that you owned were not released in Logos yet. Having never been part of WS, I have no idea how that’s working out.

As someone else noted: Many word search titles are available to former WS users, but have not been made available yet to purchase for other customers. I assume your library also has many fleb titles. See previous remarks
