Refreshing the Desktop app (Logos 9)

Is it beneficial to uninstalling the app after a long period of time and then reinstalling it to refresh the program to respond quicker?  I am finding that my Logos 9 is starting to slow down.  I have a Surface Pro 6 with not a lot of programs installed.

Thank you

Paul

No, there is no need to reinstall. Things that might actually be useful:

    1. Remove temporary licenses
    2. remove cached items (videos etc.)
    3. in a few cases, reindex the resources
    4. in some cases, defrag the disk

Reinstalling is rarely going to fix anything other than corrupt (Logos) system files.

After a few days usage you should restart Logos.

"to respond quicker" even with "not a lot of programs installed" would suggest your file system needs tweaking. You need at least 25% free space, ideally because SSD's begin to slow dramatically at that point. Make sure it is being optimized on a Schedule (Settings > Defrag and Optimize). Anything less than 15% free space is unacceptable for overall performance.
