As earlier, I post reminders for largely original language volumes that can be helpful. This prepub has a small discount, and if you pick up the Baylor series, quite possibly cheaper later, or in a package.

Aramaic volumes are typically either intro's, or journal arguments about early vs late (often Qumran).  Baylor regularly produces good volumes; this one goes into pretty good depth on Biblical aramaic.  And if memory serves, Logos is producing an aramaic collection.

Plus, don't forget:

This one's a bit pricey, but it's a Carta, so.  I think it'll be a good library addition, primarily when hebrew etymology is being trotted out, a good reference to take a quick look, within hebrew development, itself.

For the curious, Klein was one of the computational bases for the hebrew thesaurus:

Thank God for your alertness, Denise! you just saved me over $200. I put in my order for both of these resources, but I'm cancelling my, not quite ready for prime time, order for the Baylor Handbooks on the Hebrew Bible. I just realized none of them are ready for delivery!

    I ain't biting.

Meanwhile, Jesus kept on growing wiser and more mature, and in favor with God and his fellow man.

Thanks Denise! Somehow I had overlooked this pre-pub, handbook of Aramaic text, although my current goal is to understand more Aramaic.

(Just as a sidenote, I've been listening to the Bible Society Hebrew audio, and I think that it does not switch to Aramaic in those passages)

Gold package, and original language material and ancient text material, SIL and UBS books, discourse Hebrew OT and Greek NT. PC with Windows 11

Correct. If I remember correctly their print edition of the Old and New Testaments in Hebrew also offers a modern Hebrew translation of the Aramaic text.

Well, it shipped, and a very nice volume; well done.

But for those not entirely sure why they'd want to 'add one more commentary', Baylor seems quite unique in the depth it goes to.  Below image is from the Aramaic Ezra/Dan volume, discussing linguistics, etc in the intro (I included the TOC on the left).  Specific to this volume, the author places Dan's aramaic as late, compared to Ezra's (if you're curious).

But be careful of Baylor collections.  Some have a discount others don't ... for the same volumes.
