Hebrew Morph Tagging Error

The Hebrew verb שׁתן occurs six times in the OT and always in the Hifil participial masculine singular form מַשְׁתִּין (for obvious reasons).

  • BHS tags this form as a hifil ms participle
  • Both DCH and BDB identify this form as a Hifil
  • HOWEVER, the Lexham Hebrew Bible and the Lexham Hebrew English Interlinear both tag this form as a Qal ms participle.
  • The Qal morph tag is clearly an error.  Please investigate and correct.
