Resource voting

I wanted to vote for a resource to be included in Logos and when I followed the link I was taken to a feedbear site that I'm not familiar with. I had no clue on where to go with this so I was wondering if there was a tutorial on how to do navigate this site. I figured others who wanted to vote for resources may have lost their way as well so I thought I would ask for help here. Big Smile

Many thanks!

Click on the "Logos Book Requests" board (or go directly there via this link: https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-book-requests)

There you will see a long list of all the suggestions currently in the system. You can scroll down through them (more will keep loading as you scroll down). You can sort them by which ones have had most the recent votes (Trending) or were most recently posted (Recent) or have the Most votes or most comments (Most discussed). Or by their status.

You can also search (or filter the list) by searching for any text in the Search box, for example:

To upvote any suggestion, simply click on the up caret above the number of votes it has to the left of its title:

That will increment the number and turn it green, indicating that you've already voted for this suggestion. If you change your mind, you can click the up caret again and it will remove your vote.

If you want to add a new suggestion, use the panel to the left of the list on the main page of the Logos Book Requests board (this panel does not show up with the list is filtered by a search term).

Enter the Title in the Title box (this will also cause the board to filter its contents to show you if someone else has already suggested that book, and if they have, then don't suggest it again; instead go vote for their suggestion).

In the Description box, enter as much info as you can about the book, especially the Author, but also ideally the Publisher, ISBN, and a link to the Amazon page for that book. You can also upload screenshots of the cover image or Table of Contents if you want. And any other comments such as making your case for why this book is important for Faithlife to carry.

    Then click Add Idea.

Next, you'll probably want to copy the URL of that suggestion which just got created (it should be in the address bar at the of your browser after you clicked Add Idea) and then come back here to the Suggestions forum and create a new post to tell folks about the new idea and encourage people to vote for it.

If you want to see how your suggestion is doing in gathering votes, you can filter the Logos Book Requests board to show only your posts by clicking the "My posts" checkbox in the upper right.

That's all there is to it. Then sit around and wait for Faithlife to take notice and get that book into pre-pub. It could take a LONG time. They have the final discretion over whether they'll choose to follow up on it, based on whether they think there's enough demand, and many other factors which we don't have control over (nor do they in most cases), like whether the rights are attainable and whether they can negotiate favorable terms with the publisher. Ultimately it all sometimes feels like we're posting these suggestions into a black hole. But occasionally something does come of it, so keep hoping (and praying)!
