How do I find all the times Jesus used the different Greek words for the word "love?"
<sense love (affection)> INTERSECTS <speaker Jesus> ... add in additional senses as desired
I'd start with this just to get a good sample list:
love WITHIN {Speaker <Person Jesus>}
(if you're using the KJV you'll probably have to add the word "charity".
You can use this list you help you see which senses the words for love are tagged with and then use MJ's method (senses vs. english words). But you have to have a list of what all the relevant senses are, which would be in both verb and noun form.
Here are the love-related senses that yielded results:
(<Sense = to love (care)>,<Sense = love (affection)>,<Sense = to love (like)>,<Sense = to be loved>) WITHIN {Speaker <Person Jesus>}
I got 75 results in 52 verses in the NRSV (my initial search above got 72 results in 52 verses). The other senses didn't bring back any results for Jesus as the speaker.
