Same Search mode, same resource, different results...

Hello!

I've performed twelve searches on the word "power" (Acts 1:8) in two bibles, ESV and RVR60, in three searching modes (selection, manuscript and lemma), in two laptops having the languages set to English the first, and Spanish the second. As shown below, in mode "Manuscript" and "Lemma", the results are totally logics. But in mode "Selection", why the results are different? Same search in same resource in same mode in... differente language settings.

So, I wonder what is the mechanics behind searches. How english searches really work when I have Logos language set to Spanish and vice versa.

Any help will be rewarded. Of this life and the life to come.Big Smile

One last thing: All panels set to Match All Word Forms and Match Equivalent Referencies.

These are my results:

Text in a query is interpreted according to the UI language, not the language of the resource being searched (even when searching just one Bible). So, in the Spanish UI, "power" will not match "powerful", "powerfully", etc.

I don't have Logos open to test right now, but I believe you can override the language matching rules by explicitly specifying the language you want to use:

    inglés:power

    Thanks Bradley, you're right.

However (with my meager understanding of programming language), what you expect from software is accurancy when searching on a specific resource, independly from the UI language. This detail is relevant to Spanish (or other bilingual users, I guess) and, at least, should be mentioned in searching videos that Logos produce.

    Thanks you for your time!
