conflicted Blackberry vs Android

RIM announced the 9800 Blackberry this morning, it's the BB I've always wanted.

But not knowing which direction (or both?) that Logos is going to go has me conflicted.  I really would like to re-up with the BB torch, but if Logos goes for the Android exclusively I'll be stuck with library.logos.com only.

Oh how I wish that someone at Logos would let me /us know which direction they'll go...

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Based on what I've seen one or more Logos employees post somewhere else on the web, it sounds like they're [seriously considering|currently working on] an Android app.   Don't quote me on that, and I'm not being more specific because I don't have exact details nor do I want someone to get in trouble or harassed about it constantly before the release.  [:)]

Regardless, I would assume Android is a more likely route given the popularity of Android phones, e-readers, and eventually tablets in the next year or so.  Blackberry has a (perhaps) larger market share, especially among business users, but they seem to be on the decline of late.  Not as bad as Windows Mobile, though.

    Daniel,

I've recently expressed the same sentiment, and perhaps we've seen the same information [;)].  However I am so fond of Blackberry and ever hopeful.  Ultimately I believe I'll have to wait until Logos gives an undeniably clear indication that they will not do Blackberry before I'll abandon the platform.  (On one level it seems silly to abandon a platform because of an app... on another it seems sillier to migrate to a platform for a single app.  [*-)])

For now, I am impatiently waiting.

I jumped ship from my beloved blackberry to Android 2 months ago and am very happy with the decision....a Logos for Android app would make me even happier ;-)

Dan Pritchett just tweeted pretty definitive promise of an Android app. I think I know what I'm looking at now.....

Amazon's new cell phone store is pretty slick. Can't wait for the new @Logos Bible Software Android app http://bit.ly/bcDYXW.

I know this is a few months past, but the Blackberry Playbook will handle both android apps and be a great tablet for increasing the size of the text for internet access to your library.  I am glad that I hesitated longer on jumping ship from blackberry.  I am not fond of my wife's android Samsung Epic.  Even with the big screen the BB has many advantages.
