Some Advice

I lost my desktop and laptop in our house fire. Been a windows guy all my life (25 years and 75 years old) I thought about trying out a Macbook Pro. Question is; "Will I lose any functionality switching from Windows to Macbook regarding Logos software?"

Is there anything that Logos Windows does but Windows Macbook can't?

Joe, I am really sorry to hear about the fire. Thankfully, you were not hurt. I trust that your family is safe, too.

As far as I am aware, the Windows and Mac versions of Logos have feature parity. Others can jump in to confirm this.

Thanks Bill. No one was hurt, just the house. In a funny way, my wife and I have said for over three years we wanted to downsize. God was kind enough to make it happen!

I only use Logos on the PC, so I can't speak to both. But based on what I see posted in the forums, the two are not on the same footing.

I recommend you search for Mac-specific issues in the forums and read what people are posting there before you decide.

Feature parity exists. Some bugs affect only Windows devices or Macs.

I use Logos on both Windows and Mac and, apart from a few minor UI issues, as far as I can see they provide identical functionality.

I switched from Windows to MBP M1, a couple of months back. Like Graham indicates, there's some UI bugs (not worth reporting). Else, the main difference is the little horizontal stop light on each window.

I think just moving from Windows to a Mac system will be a bigger surprise. Being unrealistic, I assumed I could find a book on 'if Windows this, then Mac that', but just barely. And my iPad so much better than the Mac (I'd got used to it). I suppose I'll eventually get used to the Mac.

Having become so accustomed to window controls on the top right, I couldn't get used to the stop light in the upper left. Especially the yellow light.

I agree. I made the switch a while back and was surprised that it took me longer than I anticipated. However, now I am much happier with a Mac and don't think of switching back.

Now, if I could just get Accordance to behave ... he bumbles around all my workspaces. Ironic, since Accordance was initially Mac, I think. Logos has its own mini-bugs, but stays in his corner correctly.
