BUG: Serious error in basic functionality of Context Menu call to Atlas
When one selects an event on the right click context menu and the selects atlas, the correct event shows in the atlas on the left but not in the atlas itself. In fact, the selection menu on the left starts so far in front of the requested event that it doesn't even show as an option.

I hope this can be corrected. I have noticed this often.

MJ, I'm afraid I don't understand. You chose to display the Atlas tool with the event "Paul's third missionary journey". The maps displayed in the list in Atlas are all maps that are associated with that event. Are you saying that some of those maps shouldn't be associated with that event?
If you wanted to go specifically to the "Paul travels from Tyre to Jerusalem" map, then it seems like you'd want to have selected the "Paul travels to Jerusalem" event from places in Acts 21, not an event from the text in Acts 20.
Perhaps the left side bar of Atlas is confusing. It's primary a list of maps, with an optional card at the top (used in this case) to display information about a selected event or person or place. The item you point to in your screenshot isn't an event, it's a map. Clicking on it would load that map.

I'm confused as to why you don't understand. If I select "Paul's third missionary journey" I expect to see "Paul's third missionary journey" not "The Early Church" i.e. the green arrow not the red arrow. Yes, I know I switched tools to illustrate the point - but I expect the two tools to reflect each other.

Biblical Event navigator lists the names of events. Atlas lists the names of maps. It doesn't make sense to me that those names would necessarily match.
"The Early Church" is an overview map that covers the general world at that period of time.

The names appear to consistently map which I assumed was intentional. However, the point still remains. When one selects an event, one does not expect to be taken to something generic for the time period. See Atlas links from passages - Faithlife Forums (logos.com)

It was an intentional design decision when it was implemented, but I'll pass that along.

In the OP's example, the generic view was not even close (doesn't appear the software was aware a location/area was sought). And like MJ, I assumed the specific title would lead to a specific map. As it turned out, somehow, the map-maker pulled a route out of thin air (Paul>Illyricum).

I would appreciate if this could be rethought through

We've created a case to consider alternatives to improve this functionality.
