Sense not showing up in search results

In Revelation 1:1, there is the phrase, "God gave" in the NASB. Gave has <sense=to grant a request> and yet, when I search "<Person God> INTERSECTS <Sense to grant a request>" Revelation 1:1 is not in the results.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

The word gave is not tagged with the person God
Replacing INTERSECTS with WITHIN 1 WORDS would return results if that helps
