I have “How to Preach the Old Testament for All It’s Worth” 2016 copyright © in Faithlife ebook form and I just noticed there’s now a Logos Reader’s Edition available here: https://www.logos.com/product/198935/how-to-preach-and-teach-the-old-testament-for-all-its-worth
If I remember correctly Faithlife stated that we would get upgraded for free when an ebook version got upgraded to a Logos version. Is this still the case. Both copies are 2016 editions by the same author.

This is definitely an issue here only FL can help you - and their offices are closed today due to Labor Day holiday. I suggest you mail them - but probably there won't be an answer today.

Yes, it does appear that they need to unlock the license for these users (like me! [:)])
Hopefully FL will see this later in the week.
I'll pass this request on.
Thank you, Mark!
Mark, I have the same issue with If God Still Breathes, Why Can't I?. Right after I bought the ebook, Faithlife produced a Logos Reader's Edition. Can you pass that request along too?
I posted this question on the product page and a Faithlife employee said I would get the Reader's Edition, but I still only have the ebook and it's showing that I don't own the reader's edition.

Could you give me your resource information? This has already been upgraded to a Reader Edition.
The eBook is LLS:9780310524656 (I personally do have both editions)
I have two of these in my library so I'm guessing it got upgraded as a new resource and they left the old

I have the ebook mentioned but not the reader edition.
I am the same and the above link to the readers edition still gives me the choice to buy it.

It's LLS:WS_40CDFB52D2D447B8A19AD674C88AD516 to be precise, i.e. a former WordSearch resource (but I just fired up my WS11 to check: I didn't own this in WS, so I didn't get the Reader Edition as a WS transfer, but must have been upgraded from the eBook - or bought it in some bundle? not as a standalone resource, since my order history only has the eBook in 2016).
Here’s the screenshot on the resource information, Kyle. It’s from my mobile device (Thank you for looking into this):

My apologies. Thank you for the correction
Mark Barnes, thats exciting to hear you work for Faithlife now!!! Welcome back! I am on the same page, my book wasn’t converted to logos edition
Kyle, here's the resource info for If God Still Breathes, Why Can't I?:

Hey Mark/Kyle, is there any update on this? I still have not received the Logos Edition of this book.

Sorry for the delay. I'm following up with our products team.
Thanks so much Kyle!
My resource has not been update/upgraded yet. The product page is still asking for $6 and change for it: https://www.logos.com/product/198935/how-to-preach-and-teach-the-old-testament-for-all-its-worth

I noticed it in my library today. Not sure when it appeared. Thanks so much for taking care of this!
The product page is still ask money, not fixed

I have this ebook too.
Kyle I'm wondering: Is it the case that we need to personally reach out and ask for the update if we have an ebook which becomes a reader's or research edition or will it happen automatically?
Thanks,
Colin

Yes! And now is up to $8 and change. When I reported this it was $6 and change. I provided the information that was requested and nothing yet.

It's on sale now for $3.60. I had already added the book to my cart but fortunately I remembered reading this thread.
The same here. Can I get the the upgraded version too? Thanks!
Sale price: 3.60 today.
Yeah, but why pay when the upgrade is free. I still don’t understand why all of the sudden there’s no more communication on this simple request 🤔
It's $4.49 in the sale for me. Is $3.60 with some academic discount?
Owners of a Logos 10 base package get an extra 10% off this black friday:
$4.49 = 50% discount
$3.60 = 60% discount

There must be some kind of technical problem behind the scenes. Guessing its not 1:1, or maybe its wordsearch, or some other weird thing tied to how the proverbial sausage is made. *shrug*
I don’t know if WORDsearch had it, but I do know I bought it on Faithlife ebooks. I remember I had even preordered it. We’ll see how it goes. At least I can still read it if I need to.
After a year, I spoke to CS and apparently they don’t upgrade ebooks to Logos editions anymore (only on certain books). I finally got mine upgraded, but ended up with two copies; one ebook and one Logos, which is fine!
Also, Mark Barnes’s “I’ll pass this along” message got lost; hence, no one ever got back to us.
Anyway, maybe an announcement needs to be made by Faithlife to ensure proper communication.
PS. Bob pretty much retired! He’s still on the board, but not directly associated with the company anymore. That was a huge WOW 😮 to me!

I'm hoping a policy change this big will merit a comment from senior leadership at Logos.
seems to be a change in the 4 months, since in April Logos was eliminated redundancy
and THIS post 9/5/2023 appears that David Vela is now doing what Mitch Snyder was doing in April.
David Thomas, I was told the new policy has been in place for two years now, so go figure 😒
This is a HUGE change in policy if true, and absolutely should’ve been announced. I buy Faithlife ebooks all the time, because I was confident that if one got upgraded then I would receive it free, per the old policy, but there’s no way I’m buying Faithlife ebooks anymore if this is no longer the case.
ill have to look and see how many Faithlife ebooks I bought over the past two years, expecting they would be upgraded in the future, not knowing there was a new policy in place. And what about Faithlife ebooks that were bought while the old policy was still in place, but then get upgraded to Logos resources in the future? Will those be grandfathered in, since they were purchased with an understanding that the upgrade would be free? Many important questions that need to be clarified.
Can someone from Faithlife verify whether this news of the policy change is true or not?

Faithlife already stepped in and you should have seen that in the other thread. Rosie answered your crosspost there: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/218199/1270837.aspx#1270837
There always have been some few duplicates, but the overall number is very low, compared to the six-digit sum total of resources. It seems some more crept in lately, but Faithlife has already answered they will look into that process. I tend to think the number is so low, CS people simply don't have experience and knowledge (it probably has always been a manual process far outside of CS).
The total number of "converted" eBooks is small, and most of those came from the Wordsearch transaction. I personally wouldn't waste time looking for duplicates of the eBooks I own, since there is only a very slim chance to find one. It does not seem to be a realistic idea to buy eBooks in the expectation to see them converted to Logos editions in the foreseeable future. Nearly all of them won't be. Buy them because you want to read them or at least have them in the Logos environment.
Are you still with the company? I was told there was the possibility that you might not be with the company anymore. Whatever the case may be, good luck wherever you are.
Are you still with the company?
He has made work related posts as of yesterday, so I assume he is still employed by Logos. Further, he would not be posting with his "Logos" account if he weren't.
