Update installation error for path to Logos4.msi

For some reason, during the install of the last two updates
(4.1 Beta 4 and 5), I got the following error message:

Accessing the feature...
Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containg
the installation package ‘Logos4.msi’ in the box below.

Use source: C:\Users\wdl\AppData\Local\Logos4\Intall\Installers

When I click “Browse” to locate the folder for the
Logos4.msi file, I find that it is there in the folder where it should be, so I
select it again. Upon selecting the
folder, I then get the another message
box saying:

The file C:\Users\wdl\AppData\Local\Logos4\Intall\Installers\Logos4.msi’
is not a valid installation package for the product Logos Bible Software 4. Try
to find the installation package ‘Logos4.msi’ in a folder from which you can
install Logos Bible Software 4.

So I am forced to hit cancel, and then I get the following
message:

The older version of Logos Bible Software 4 cannot be
removed. Contact your technical support
group.

I hit OK, then it goes ahead and installs the update. It seems like the update installs correctly,
in spite of the error messages.

Have you any setup log files you can upload (don't copy them) to the forum? They should be in Logos Log Files in your Documents folder or Temp folder eg. Logos4setup.log, DigitalLibraryInstall.log

The error info is in the digitallibraryinstall.log.

I am wondering if it was caused by my starting to run the the logos4setup.exe file a couple days ago. I was having problems on my second computer while trying doing a clean reinstall, and downloaded and began running the setup file on my primary machine (this one) for a few seconds before cancelling. Maybe that caused some incompatibility.

Both logs are old (May 2010). Where did you get them? Running Logos4Setup and cancelling would be OK (except if you stopped it in Task Manager).

I got the logs in

C:\users\wdl\My documents\Logos Log Files.

I don't know why they are old. There are two newer log files in that folder called logos4.log and logos4indexer.log dated Aug 3, 2010. But those are before the beta 5 update error, and I think even before the beta 4 update error. I'll attach them for you to see.

I did a search and found there is a another set of log files for July 30, 2010 located in:

C:\users\wdl\AppData\Local\Temp\Logos Log Files

I'm not sure why they would be there, and don't recall doing anything specific that would have triggered it, other than it may correspond to my getting a new commentary set and then reindexing after I downloaded the books.

Do I need to run a command to turn on logging?
