does anybody know anything about the Logos Daily Circle? is it worth the subscription cost? is there any demo videos? I'd like to see the training videos and how they compare to Danny Zacarias or Morris Proctors videos.
Welcome to the forums. It is launching tomorrow IIRC - any review at this point would be pure speculation. It also is not an official FL product.
Thanks, joined today. Hopeful that it becomes a vibrant community.
thank you for the welcome. i was under the impression that the circle was a faithlife product. the FB group is ran by faithlife and they have posted an invitation to the circle. so is morris proctors site the closest thing to official logos step-by-step training? is this community or forum then the only official forum?
There are some official support groups on www.faithlife.com too, but this one is the most active official forum by far.
the FB group is ran by faithlife and they have posted an invitation to the circle.
I don't believe that to be the case. Nothing on the FB page indicates to me that it is run by FL. However:
i was under the impression that the circle was a faithlife product.
I sought clarification: The group is not directly affiliated with FL. However, the owner/creator of "Logos Daily" is now employed by FL, but he verified that "Logos Daily" is a side gig and still unofficially related to FL. Confusing, I know.
so is morris proctors site the closest thing to official logos step-by-step training?
He is still, as far as I know, the "official trainer." His company, however, is not owned and run by FL.
is this community or forum then the only official forum?
These are the FL forums, owned by FL itself. It is largely crowdsourced user support. FL also owns https://faithlife.com (a social media type site).
I have been using it since it started. I work in I.T. and pastor a home fellowship. I have found the Circle to be helpful and refreshing.
The groups have had some good conversations. The people on it have all been encouraging one another - it's a healthy atmosphere. People jump in to help one another.
Over the past few days I have been working through the teaching videos. They are detailed but not excessively lengthy. I have not only learned what was taught but used those things to learn things that were not taught.
When I have questioned something about a certain video I have received a response. There is a more personal feel to the Circle.
The upcoming book reading club looks promising.
I questioned if I was going to get my moneys worth from the site. After spend some time on it I can say yes I will.
I don't view the Circle as just another platform. These guys are in it for ministry. They love the Lord and want to help people. The few dollars it costs will help pay for the platform and hopefully throw some money at the coaches for the time they are investing. I don't mind spending $100 a year to support the vision. There's a 2 month free trial so there's really nothing to lose by trying it.
Jason is doing a live demo tonight and sharing his vision, if you can I would invest the 30 minutes to hear his heart.
Apparently, there's a YouTube demo at 6pm Eastern: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cW1P4njXy7w
Just under 45min from now.
QUESTION:
ANSWER:
So glad you asked. There are MANY reasons to join Logos Daily Circle:
1. They are FREE
2. They are the BEST help group I have found so far for Logos Bible Software
3. They have eight sub-groups and two Premium groups within the Circle. Sounds like a lot but don’t let that stop you from joining each of the groups. Some of these groups were on another social media platform but it was slowly moving away from their vision to serve the Lord by serving and helping one another in a common goal. Please join the free groups so you can gain full advantage of what they have to offer in this community we call the Circle. We are offering the two Premium groups for two months FREE of you join by September 9.
4. Logos Daily Circle has many training videos and their subscription price (for the two Premium groups) is lower than the two you mentioned.
5. You get TWO MONTHS FREE to decide if you like the Premium groups.
6. The other sub-groups are completely free and loaded with helpful, insights into using Logos Bible Software.
7. Personally, I like Moe a lot and I maintain a subscription to MPSeminars; BUT, I found this group to be easier to comprehend with shorter, to-the-point training videos. I decided their work and passion to serve was well worth the small INVESTMENT for what they have to offer.
Again – the platform is FREE except the two top tiers, both of which are worth it.
Check them out and remember – sign up and join by September 9, for the TWO FREE MONTHS (top tier).Check this link for detailed info or PM me directly.

Here are the free groups that only a fraction of members have joined:
Some of these groups were on another social media platform but it was slowly moving away from our vision to serve the Lord — we can now more effectively help one another in a common goal.
this makes a bit of sense I guess. I figured because the owner was the president of social media for logos that this new site was a logos site. also the group says faithlife in the name. i know the Facebook group has Been heavy on the advertising for the group in the post ands especially on the comments With the links to the circle Just about every comment has someone saying click this link to sign up for a free trial. I just didn’t know how trustworthy it all is to give my credit card info via some random long link but if there is that bit of connection to faithlife I am sure it is not a scam
thanks for the infomercial david I assume you work for this company? i have to be honest your Comment has turned me off to it more than anything. whats with the urgency and gorilla marketing i have been seeing everywhere iwith it something does not sit right. It feels like popups in the 2000s saying free trip to Belize click here.
my first paragraph is response to JT i am not sure how to quote.
1. Make sure you 'Reply' (not a Quick Reply)
2. Place you cursor where you want the quote to appear.
3. Click on the 'Quote' (in the grey box above what you're typing).
4. If you don't want the whole quote, highlight the part you do; then 'Quote'.
5. You can do the selected quotes multiple times (answering parts of the post); just make sure your cursor is where you want the quote to go.
Not known to some, sometimes what one writes is a complete mistake. Or a post, posts multiple times by accident. The software allows you to Delete your post (in the More menu). But for not very long. Else you can only edit it.
Just my personal response but I am put-off by the degree the site attempt to look official with the attempt to look as if they are Faithlife sponsored.
Hello, I am an active user of the new social platform. I am pretty versed in Logos so I cannot speak of the training videos yet, but my main reason for joining was the ability to have a community that has a similar focus as I do on learning more daily. With Facebook getting more and more heavy on censorship it was clear that something needed to be created in order to have a space where everyone can discuss theology and not worry about getting marked down. What I have enjoyed most is the community and being able to discuss theology openly no matter what (school of thought) we adhere to while also having a wide variety of members from casual study to biblical scholars.
(comment deleted) I changed my mind about my comment. I don't know that it was fair.
Please go check them out.
Sooner rather than later is actually to your advantage. They broke away from the toxic FB platform and are a great blessing to all who join. It is to help one another learn and grow with Logos Bible Software.
Very informative reply Tim Kuhn.
Thanks for the post.

Sorry if I overdid it for you. The "urgency" is that the two free months deadline is September 9. I am in no way affiliated with Logos, Faithlife, ot the Circle - other than enjoying the powerful software and the quick answers and frienliness of the group. My apologies for the "gorilla marketing" Just hate to see anyne miss an opportunity like this. Remember: other than the two top tiers, it is entirely free and entirely honoring to God.
I frequently visit here at Faithlife Forums looking for answers. I also have an MPSeminars subscription and I could listen to Morris Proctor all day, and I sometimes have. I recently subscribed to the Logos Daily Circle and I like, and benefit from them all.
The Circle has a ‘social media vibe’ without the baggage. (I quit Facebook years ago.) I think it’s good to have options and variety. The Circle site seems to be more personal, I guess that’s the social media angle to it. You can learn a lot there without paying. For the cost of subscribing you have direct access to people who are actively coaching others in the use of the software. So far they appear to be really interested in helping me push the envelope in my getting practical, real world, benefit from Logos. I had Logos Bible Software for a while before I realised the power of of it, and I think there are many others in that boat.
I think the real attraction for me is the social media type access, it is more conversational. Some people might not like that, so fortunately there are other places like here ,and MPSeminars, and a plethora of other places where people are talking about Logos.
I am happy there are so many places because I really want to see more people hear about Logos and start using. I really want to see Logos/Faithlife go from strength to strength. I am still regularly mind blown about what Logos can do. If it weren’t true it would be ridiculous. I can’t speak about Danny Z, but the difference in video, when compared to Morris P, is in style. Morris‘s videos are very manicured and professional, at the circle its very social media/personal style/ of the moment. I think it really cuts through to learning about what you are asking about. Don’t get me wrong I don’t think I can say one is better than the other, I am not saying that. MPSeminars and Faithlife Forum are great. Variety is great for learning.
And I’m not getting paid by the daily circle, I’m paying them, they should be here talking about me!

Again, sorry of my methods offended or steered you away. I have always been one to help others and even push if I felt it were to their benefit. Enjoy the platform.
I know he avoided answering the question of whether or not he benefits from people joining Logos Circle through his link, but there is indeed a referral program where you get free stuff like a Logos Circle mug, or even free Logos credit if enough people sign up for the site through your link.

Quiet frankly, Facebook is not that toxic, people are toxic not the platform. The toxic attitude I received was from certain members. Most recently some guy telling me I was lost because I refused to discuss politics with him 😂
Anyway, Logos-circle is a good group, but for the founders is a business opportunity, so there’s always that motivation behind it (nothing wrong with it). We all want a piece of the pie, don’t we? 😁
Maybe I should start charging people for Spanish Logos training too 😂
DAL
In general, people should always be explicitly honest about the fact that there's a referral program or some benefit to them when they're encouraging people to sign up for something.
I clicked and joined the free version through the other thread's link and the OP there gets credit for the referral.
I'm not paying to subscribe to another site. So far I don't see a reason to pay $7.99 or $10.99. I think it may be a benefit to some, but since I've been watching their livestreams over the time they've had them, I came to the realization that I know Logos better than they do so I wasn't really learning anything new. Beginners will see more of a benefit.
They're not power users, which may be a plus for some people because they're just regular users of the software helping other users. It's more of a community-building approach which, as I mentioned, is beneficial to some. I just don't see the value in paying $7.99/mo for it.
I do like the site (they're using Mighty Networks) and the fact that they've moved it off of Facebook. I already had Mighty Networks installed and I was just able to add the Logos Daily Circle group, so that was pretty convenient. Everything seems pretty positive so far, I haven't seen anything crazy on there yet. Hopefully it remains a positive space for people to help each other use Logos, research topics, or prepare sermons.
Actually, you laugh but maybe you really should. Why not if there's a need?

I agree! You can charge pesos. More seriously, ditto training on the Chinese and Korean sides.

Looks like the open mike is a great invitation to get in trouble. Maybe DAL can help them out on their church of Christ as a mystery, questions ... how Max L fits in.

At least they have a designated space. Somebody asked about women in ministry, it seemed civil enough at the time I looked at the thread. I haven't looked today. I decided to quit while I was ahead. lol
I've been mostly hanging out in the other free spaces (Tips and Tricks, Logos Sales, Free Books). I'll peek into Open Mic if there's a topic that interests me and stay away from the ones that don't.
So, for the nobody that asked (or cares), here's what I have to say:Logos Daily is a cool company, I've talked to the founder of it a few times and from what I see he's a genuine guy and for what it's worth I really think he's started the company out of an ambition other than financial gain. I have had a coaching call with them, and it was like $20 for an hour, and at the time it helped me a ton because it was a real time Zoom call where I got to ask questions instead of a video where I didn't understand the difference between the Go box and a search box (purely subjective though, may be different for you). As far as the branding thing, I can also see both sides of it, but I can say with a decent amount of certainty that Jason wouldn't go out of his way to be deceitful in that way. I saw someone comment about the training being more geared towards "beginners" and not "power users" and I'd fall maybe just in between the two, but I think there's a bit of value for both. I do think someone that's been using Logos/Verbum for years may be a tad underwhelmed with the trainings, but those are the same people that may benefit from being on a social network full of Logos/Verbum users, and frankly those are the people that SHOULD join to help others! There's also the element that they're adding new trainings (I could be wrong, but I think every other day there's a new one, and they're based off the questions that users have in the group, so they change in terms of topic). The new trainings that I've seen as of late are a bit more in depth and geared toward non-beginners. I would drop my "affiliate" or share link in here but I see that a couple people already have but for transparency's sake (and I agree, I think it is wrong to drop a link and not be transparent about it, but that's not Logos Daily's fault, please don't blame them) the links work like this:
With that third one you can see what some Logos users would get excited to "sign people up" but please don't blame Logos Daily for that, I've never seen anything from them that is encouraging people to be anything but transparent. Also, if I recall correctly, there's no credit card info needed to join the free tier. All in all, go try it out. There's not really much to lose. It is free for two months, or free for life if you have no interest in the videos.
Hey DMB I was actually the one with the question about the Church of Christ. I was actually hoping some people involved in a Church of Christ could dispel some rumors/misconceptions (or maybe even correct assumptions) on what you commonly hear about things about the "denomination" (sorry I don't mean that offensively to any CoC members, I only say it in terms of categorization and familiarity with the term). From what I've seen the CoCs vary quite a bit from congregation to congregation and I was asking people's subjective experience. I have an interest in it, it sparked up a great convo with a couple people actually. If it was offensive to you, I apologize. I don't know where you get the term "mystery" from. I didn't use the word "mystery" anywhere in there and I don't know where anything I asked could be misinterpreted as such. My exact words were actually "I'd love to hear/understand the theology around the doctrine of baptism for salvation" and followed by a series of subjective experience questions (I'll leave those out as I think they're against the forums T&S), and then at the end I said "there's stuff online about all of this but I've found that what you read online typically deviates from what actually happens in practice". At this point you have to scroll pretty far back to find it (I actually asked it before Logos Circle launched when I was still a beta user and there was a small core group of mostly pastors and Logos coaches). So, if it's offensive to any CoC people please let me know, I'll remove it.
I do think someone that's been using Logos/Verbum for years may be a tad underwhelmed with the trainings, but those are the same people that may benefit from being on a social network full of Logos/Verbum users, and frankly those are the people that SHOULD join to help others!
Agreed. I like the fact that it's a community specifically focused on Logos users. I like the site and the mobile app, it's pretty clean without a lot of distractions.
I have had a coaching call with them, and it was like $20 for an hour, and at the time it helped me a ton because it was a real time Zoom call where I got to ask questions instead of a video where I didn't understand the difference between the Go box and a search box (purely subjective though, may be different for you).
The one-on-one coaching has always been the most valuable part of what they do. That's the type of stuff that's worth paying for if you learn better with a live person to ask questions. The training videos will be valuable to some. They would have to be higher quality and more in-depth for me to see the value in paying for access to them. I still learn new things from Morris Proctor and I even learned some stuff I didn't know from Danny Zacharias. I have yet to learn something I didn't know from the Logos Daily folks. And that's okay, it's not a dig on them. I think the main value they bring is the community building, interpersonal aspect and the one-on-one coaching.
I was under the assumption that Faithlife had created Circle to replace Facebook, and that transitioning was eventually mandatory. No matter how great Circle might be, I feel tricked. I was feeling upset with Faithlife, thinking they were replacing a free service with a subscription. I was despairing of how much more that I must pay to Failthlife to keep using what I have already paid for. I was not even sure if Circle was replacing this forum.
I am glad to know that I can just unsubscribe and ignore Circle. I did not know that was an option. I have been so busy with school that I have not had time to fully investigate what Is happening. All the while, my email inbox is full of warnings. I was feeling anxious that I would be forced to choose between something I did not want or something worse.
I am not the brightest person here, and I have not been investing the time into Faithlife products that I did in the past, but I am not a total idiot. Yet, I fell for this. I cannot be the only one. I wonder how much this might have hurt Faithlife's reputation.
I was feeling upset with Faithlife, thinking they were replacing a free service with a subscription.
While i did not believe that Circle/Logos Bible Tips and Tricks | Faithlife was part of Faithlife, the site's use of Faithlife's name and logos creating easy confusion has been a real turn-off for me. It represents business practices outside my personal sense of ethics. I have been surprised that Faithlife has not objected.
Seems like there's always another group.... I'm not sure I have time for all the groups....seems like I don't have enough time to do what's on my schedule now...

It seem par for the course for this guy. Back when I was called, "Brave Daily" there were a lot of heavy-handed tactics. He added me to one of his groups without my permission, for instance. It is all a way to get commissions on links he puts up.I won't join this other thing - even the free side - for this reason alone.
I am part of other groups on FB that are there just to help folks out and no agenda other than that; no one makes any money.
I won't join this other thing - even the free side - for this reason alone.
Just a relaxing Saturday, but I guess you won't be getting a free mug!
But I agree with your thoughts; I'm reminded of the disciples getting improperly excited there were others teaching 'Jesus'. And absent free mugs, I'd assume the more the better, for Faithlife.
For everyone who has expressed a negative concern, it might be worth sending a note to Jason with your thoughts. Some of those ideas might help him.

I see a lot of good there. I joined.
Thank you for your contribution, Jason.
Take a look and make your own decision.

The guys are great (Jason, Richard, etc.). There’s got to be some agreement with them and Faithlife or else they wouldn’t be using their name to promote their site and subscription services. If Faithlife is ok with them, hey, they can continue helping beginners learn the software 👍
Who is “they” and “them?” If you mean FL, I haven’t seen any official endorsement or promotion from FL.

Same. If I'm going to pay anything, I'm going to sign up for Faithlife Connect and get my free books each month :-) It is curious that Faithlife wouldn't have wanted to make something like this part of the whole Faithlife Connect.
It does seem a bit of a conflict of interest. The guy who runs it is actually a Senior Manager at Logos. It does make it seem like it's an "official" Logos product.
In the recent "birthday coupon" debacle, he responded to a complaint (not my complaint! I don't have any issue with it) about it with "You’ll want to contact support@logos.com, as this is not an official Logos forum (they do not monitor this).
Thanks for being a part of the Facebook Groups, Donnie. There are tens of thousands of folks who consult the groups for help. I love the support we get to offer Logos users there.I started those groups long before joining Logos/Faithlife—almost 6 years before joining because I'm a Logos fanatic. I have even discussed with Faithlife the idea of bringing them under the same umbrella as Faithlife/Logos, but there just is not a way we can do that at the moment (insert lots of fine print here). Until then, I'm here on staff to support the community Logos users well with social media, and that is my priority right now. Who knows what the future holds for the groups and the Circle! As for that birthday coupon discussion and mentioning Logos Customer Support: All things Logos Daily are extracurricular and after hours. I always want to point folks to get the help they need, and because Customer Support does not monitor the Facebook Groups, I wanted to make sure he knew where to go to be heard by Logos—because my Facebook Groups are not the best place. I hope that makes sense. You can always email me if you have more suggestions or questions.Grace and peace,Jason.Stone@logos.com
