Has something changed with Logos for Mac on the Last Update?

I have one of the new M1 Mac’s, The 14” Macbook Pro M1 Pro.

The full index had been taking 60 minutes, now it is only taking 50 minutes.

Has Logos made the change to Apple Silicon native support already?

Or is it something else? Before with intel systems we had a limitation on the total number of cores being used for the index.

And because the new M1 chips have 8 or more CPU cores it didn’t fully use capability of these systems.

I don't think that I've seen that in the release notes yet.

Probably some coding enhancements under the hood.

I have an M1 processor as well. I am hoping for big things, eventually, when that support comes through.

Side note, how often are you running a full reindex? I can't think of the last time I've done so.

I feel like the opposite end… have had logos on Mac since 2014. normally very stable. put on an m1 air in 2020 and was stable there too. put on a m1 pro 14" about 6 weeks ago and have noticed many crashes (fails to launch and have to force quit). I don’t know exactly how many times, but I would say at least a dozen or so which is in my mind probably more than the last 8 years.

That's pretty much the case for me. I had just assumed my large layout (maybe 150 books) was well beyond the design-window, when FL moves the code translation to Mac. But my iPad has more mystery problems (Apple-wise) ... I think I'll delay the '16 update a bit.

abondservant I didn't need to run the full index, but instead I just wanted to check if the speed was different with forcing the fans to max and it did make the index run 2 minutes faster I my case. I have a little over 7,000 resources which uses 60GB of space on the SSD.

I only got the base model because I was a little low on the cash.

I try to stay on the latest update so I have macOS 12.5.1 running.

I have not had any Logos crashes after I got the 14" MacBook Pro M1 Pro, When I used the 2015 Macbook Pro 15" I also had many crashes and forced quit issues.
