Forum question

Is there a way to mark all messages read across all forums on community.logos.com? That would be a great feature. It's way too cumbersome to mark all messages read forum by forum, so in all practicality there is no way to make everything read, so the next time someone logs in they can see only new messages. Or is there a way I have missed? Thanks!

I don't think so Don. But I doubt that anyone tries to follow all the forums.

As an MVP I only monitor eight of them and a couple of them have so few posts I wonder why they are kept open.

Your question made me curious. So off I went to find out how to mark every forum post as read.

Short answer: I didn't find an easy way, but there is a way if you can spend 5-10 minutes to mark each forum.

Long version: From the Home folder there is an option for each forum group or if you're already inside a forum group at the top you should see a "Mark all read" in the heading.

You have to do each forum individually using either of these options. This will mark the majority of posts. To get the sub-forums I used the "Posts you have not read". This will show a bunch of messages and the forum/sub-forum they belong to. A few more clicks and I was able to clear off all the sub-forums.

I was rewarded with a message "There are no posts to show. This could be because there are no posts in this forum or due to a filter."

I reveled in my clean slate for about 30 seconds until I updated and there was a single new post cluttering the page. This could become my new OCD issue and an object lesson for a future class. [;)]
