NIC Heritage Collection

I thought I had all of the NIC OT/NT but came across the NIC Heritage Collection:

Why is this a separate listing? Are they former volumes that have been replaced by newer ones? It seems that I own some, but not all of them.

Can anyone help me with this. One of my go-to commentary sets.

I've only quickly scanned the list of volumes, but it looks every volume has been superceded by a newer volume.

I did not realize I did not have Philip Hughes's commentary on 2 Corinthians. I got that for $12. Hughes is definitely worth it. Many of the other older volumes in the series also are worth it. For example, John Murray's commentary on Romans, F.F. Bruce on Hebrews and Herman Ridderbos on Galatians.

To each his own but I really liked Leon Morris' commentaries (e.g. John, 2 Thes) and Edward Young's Isaiah. If all you want is the latest maybe not but when you run into citations I find having older volumes useful

Leon Morris on John and Young on Isaiah are volumes also worth having!

Edward J. Young is great! Ridderbos on Galatians is good too. So I’d say, yes, they’re worth having 👍
