Hello Logos user community,

I use Logos on a daily basis usually without any technical problems.  Last week when launching the program, I received the following error message:

"This app can't run on your PC To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher." (see screen shot below)

Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this and if you know the fix?

Windows 10 Pro Build 10.4.19044

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU with 32 GB Ram

Thanks,

Thurston

Welcome! Sorry for your troubles. [:s]

I did a google search and only got two hits for that error message. You should contact FL by phone.

  • Thanks!  I called tech support and they identified that it was an antivirus issue with the latest Logos update.  I created an exception for Logos in the antivirus software and all works again.

    Solution 1: Update Logos Manually
Often times updating to the latest version will fix whatever is causing Logos to crash. To do this simply install the latest update from the installation page.

Solution 2: Verify Windows is up to date
Click here and chose your version of Windows from the Product drop-down menu to learn how to check for Windows updates.

    Solution 3: Repair the Installation
Sometimes repairing Logos Bible Software via Windows' Repair tool in "Programs and Features" will fix what is causing the crash.

    • Press Windows+R (the Windows key is in the bottom-left corner of the keyboard).
    • Copy and paste appwiz.cpl into the Run dialog box.
    • Click OK.
    • Find Logos Bible Software, right-click it and click "Repair."
    • Allow Windows to run the install to repair the software.
    • Open Logos Bible Software.
