I may be obtaining an older IMac for a backup computer..I believe late 2013..does Logos still support Catalina OS? I think that is the last iOS that Mac will load.

Currently, yes. The current minimum is 10.14, Catalina is 10.15.
Question: What do you mean by "backup?" What do you mean by "aquire?"
If you mean that you might purchase this computer and use it to back up information... I would not reccomend you do so.
If you mean a generous soul is going to give you a computer so that you can do some work when you leave your work laptop at work, I would say great.
If you mean something in between, I'd have to think about it.
