Again, not for everyone; actually for very few, probably. And so a reminder.
First off, Craig Evan's (and company) on the NT Apocrypha:

This ships in a couple of weeks. It's a good choice, especially if you're new to the Apocrypha. Each apocrypha is discussed by a separate author, and a lengthy list discussed as well. A bit pricey, but not for apocrypha volumes.
Second, comes Tony Burke's 3rd NT Apocrypha volume:

The above, is the grouping, in case you already have several Burke volumes, dynamic is cheaper (but still up there). As each volume is added, the unusualness and fewer witnesses proliferates.
Of, course we still have Rick Brannan's Apocryphal Gospels (not prepub'd), and his more recent opus on witnesses in liturgy and hymns:
Greek Apocryphal Gospels, Fragments and Agrapha: Introductions and Translations
Fragments of Christianity: Fragmentary Witnesses to Early Christian Liturgies, Hymns, Homilies, and Prayers
And, if you're wondering 'why' you'd spend good money on church-rejected writings (heresy!!), they often have interesting clues as to what issues were in play. The quote below, will cause you to blanche. But the apocrypha (Burke's 1st volume; 'the Paralytic and Christ') demonstrate the arguments, sometimes 'in reverse'. Here, Jesus is wanting money for healing (or its reverse; evil healers' practices):
"The paralytic offers the little he has to Jesus
12 1Jesus says, “What do you have then?” 2The paralytic said, “God is my witness, I have four copper poghs and a piece of bread and two lumays. Here, take these for yourself and cure me.”
3Jesus says, “When the house is swept, two or three lumays and even more are carried off with the broom, and the piece of bread is thrown to the dog.” 4The paralytic said, “Two lumays is the hire of a donkey, and the servantb eats the piece of bread.”
13 1Jesus says, “You said that you have seven afflictions. For such wages as you offer, who would take away all these afflictions from you?” 2The paralytic said, “You are an intolerably greedy and grasping man. Would you happen to be a relative of Judas?”
