Install L9 today or L10 when it becomes available?

I've just purchased a new Laptop in anticipation of L10 release. Would you suggest installing the L9 system or wait for a pristine install of L10?

If L10 is similar to other releases of the engine, an upgrade would be just fine. However: Is the computer windows or Mac? If the latter, and if it were Apple Silicon, that <might> be a different situation. (There is hope it will be native, but nothing has been publically released yet).

I don't think there is much benefit for you to wait.

The question wasn’t about a purchase of L9, it was about installing it. The original question implied previous ownership.

I own an older apple macbook so I don't believe the fact of being native would matter much to me but out of curiosity what is the difference with something being native?

If you don't speak French and are touring Paris, you'd be clueless. If you had a translator, you could get by. If you spoke french fluently, you'd catch everything.
Currently, Mac users on Apple Silicon (which is very fast!) have to have a "translator," else they wouldnt be able to run Logos at all. Becasue Apple Silicon is fast, this means that performance is still "good," but it is hindered. Once FL releases a "native" app to Apple Silicon, things will speed up greatly.

The current app is "native" to what you have. It was built for an Intel Processor. The reason I hesistated to fully reccomend updating now (if the OP had Apple Silicon) is simply becasue some users would prefer a "Fresh Install" when migrating from an Intel app to Apple SIlicon. However: Most users probably don't care and many apps on thier computer currently probably underwent an Intel to Apple SIlicon conversion (i.e. Google Chrome) without deleting and doing a "fresh install."
