My default opens to my Devotional Layout, when I try to switch to either my Sermon Prep layout or SS Lesson Prep the window shrinks, then the program closes and the window disappears.

We've been able to recreate the problem. It appears that this may be a problem specifically with layouts that have panels open in both the left and right "sidebar areas", like Favorites or Highlighting and Information or Power Lookup, where the Window size is particularly narrow. Unfortunately, I don't have a workaround for the crash.
I was having this problem, and I found this post looking for a solution. After seeing your assessment of the problem, I decided to try all my layouts to find which ones weren't working. After switching to a couple successfully, I went back to the one that was causing the crash and it worked fine. None of the layouts involved had anything in the left "sidebar area" other than the new menu placement (what used to be on top). I'm providing this both in hopes that it might work as a workaround for someone else and to provide more data for problem diagnosis. Thanks for working on it!

I tried turning off "hardware acceleration" in the Program Settings --still crashed
Until a fix is in place I have closed the Highlighting Tool in my saved layout. It is a functional workaround.
Unfortunately, I can only confirm the error descriptions here. I deleted all my old layouts because loading each one took a very long time and would have brought the computer to a standstill.
When I create a new layout under Logos 10, save it and call it up again, there is no delay.
According to the information in other posts, there seem to be two different error-prone areas in Logos 10:1. visual filters2. old saved layouts
A bug fix would be strongly advised!
My sermon prep layouts are moderately complex and would take a while to re-create. Do any users have experience in opening an L9 layout then saving the layout under a new name as a way to accomplish what Thomas reports?

10.0.0.0234 fixed the issue!!
I would love to say that fixed it, but mine still load slow and now they close even slower. Running Windows 11. I deleted all my layouts and have made very simple ones. I Hope there's another patch soon, I miss my layouts.
The crash should be fixed, and the slow loading time should be improved somewhat with SR-1: Logos 10.0 SR-1. We're continuing to work on improving slow load times further.
